I'VE NEVER HAD BOTOX® OR FILLER BEFORE. WILL IT HURT?
Social Aesthetics Indy provides all clients with optional, topical numbing ointment at no additional charge. After using the ointment, most clients report mild to no pain during their injections.
If you have any swelling or pain after your procedure, you may use OTC pain relievers or apply ice for relief. Additionally, all new clients are given a sample of Arnica salve to apply to any bruised areas that may appear after their visit. Arnica salve is a plant-based ointment used medicinally for the treatment of bruises.
HOW MUCH BOTOX® OR FILLER WILL I NEED? WHAT WILL IT COST?
Many factors, including age, sun damage, genetics, and muscle structure can determine how much product a client will require. We will always give you a cost estimate before services are performed. Clients who receive neurotoxin injections typically spend somewhere between $300-$400, while those who receive dermal fillers typically spend between $600-$1200.
We are happy to guide you in determining how you'll get the most "bang for your buck." We pride ourselves in never pressuring or upselling our clients. Don't forget to visit our Promotions section to find easy ways to bring down your product cost.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DOES SOCIAL AESTHETICS INDY ACCEPT?
Social Aesthetics Indy accepts cash, check, all major credit cards, Venmo, CashApp, & Paypal. We do not accept Care Credit at this time. Additionally, cosmetic aesthetic services are not covered by insurance.

We also accept Allé points, formerly known as Brilliant Distinctions, as payment towards Allergan brand injectables.
ARE NEUROTOXINS AND DERMAL FILLERS SAFE?
Despite the "toxic"-sounding name, both neurotoxins and dermal fillers are FDA- approved for medical aesthetic use. When appropriately used in a therapeutic context, Botox® and dermal fillers are safe and have few side effects. Both products have been used safely for decades.
Common side effects of Botox® include mild pain, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. Common side effects of dermal fillers include redness, bruising, bleeding, and swelling. Side effects typically resolve in just a few days. You may also feel lumps, or the ability to feel the filler substance under the skin.
I HAVE A FEW HEALTH PROBLEMS. CAN I STILL GET BOTOX® AND DERMAL FILLERS?
Botox® and dermal fillers are FDA approved for use in most adults over the age of 21. Individuals who should NOT receive treatment include pregnant or nursing women or anyone with a history of neuromuscular disorders, including myasthenia gravis.
DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING SPECIAL BEFORE I RECEIVE BOTOX® OR DERMAL FILLERS?
Two weeks before your Botox® or dermal filler services, it is recommended clients discontinue any blood-thinning medications. Taking these medications increases your risk of bruising and swelling after injections. Also, be sure to schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event. This allows time for the Botox® to take effect and any bruising or swelling from dermal fillers to resolve. Lastly, don't forget to eat before your procedure! This will decrease your chance of lightheadedness during your treatment.
WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER MY TREATMENT?
After receiving Botox®, do not manipulate the treated area or lie down for 4 hours after your treatment. Avoid any straining, heavy lifting, or vigorous exercise for 6 hours after treatment. These precautions will allow the Botox® to remain in the injected area and not migrate elsewhere.

Similarly, after receiving dermal fillers, avoid significant movement or massage of the treated area, strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat, or excessive amounts of alcohol or salt for 24 hours. You may consider sleeping face up and slightly elevated to reduce the risk of facial swelling.
WHAT IF I'M UNHAPPY WITH MY RESULTS?
We always want our clients to be satisfied with their aesthetic Remember, it can sometimes take between 7-14 days for results to be seen. If the desired result is not seen after two weeks, please contact us. It is possible you may need additional product to achieve your goals, or inversely you may opt to dissolve your dermal fillers. You are charged for the amount of product used. Therefore, you will be charged for any product used during any touch-up or subsequent appointments.
